People old enough to sit round a table for some serious reminiscing know that activities once undertaken with abandon may now require a more circumspect approach . . .
What once we did with youthful flair
Must, now we’re getting grey of hair
And clocking up the wear and tear,
Be executed with more care;
So, let us from this table rise –
But slowly, lest such exercise
Should, at our ages, prove unwise
And spark our premature demise.
